RICHMOND, Ind. -- Dixie Chopper and race car driver Steve Casebolt are proud to announce a new, high-powered alliance.
Beginning with 32nd Annual Dart Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park the first week of February, Casebolt has carried the Dixie Chopper brand name on board his orange and white number C9 car.
"We are just thrilled to have Dixie Chopper on board with us for our Lucas Oil Late Model Series campaign this year,” fellow Hoosier Casebolt said of the Indiana-made "The World's Fastest Lawn Mower."
In 1980 Art Evans made the first Dixie Chopper. Little did anyone know that he would lead the way to revolutionizing the entire lawn and garden industry. Dixie Choppers are known for their performance, productivity and reliability. Still family owned and operated, near Greencastle, Ind., Dixie Chopper takes great pride in producing the best mid-mount, zero turning mowers in the industry.
Through the years manufacturing processes and procedures may have changed, but Dixie Chopper’s corporate values have remained constant. One driving value is its aim to produce a mower that has many years of useable life left after it is paid for. Dixie Chopper may not be the first mower you have ever purchase, but chances are it will be the last.
Casebolt has already announced a partnership with Fatheadz Sunglasses this year and as Dixie Chopper comes on board, 2008 is shaping up to be a very exciting season for him and his new race team as they chase the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship.
"I am overwhelmed that Dixie Chopper has shown an interest in us and we hope to go out there and do a great job for them. To think that two top-notch companies want me to represent them and their products is a huge compliment to me and everyone involved with my team. After learning more about Dixie Chopper and seeing their product line I can't see why everybody doesn't already have a Dixie Chopper. As soon as the snow melts here in Indiana, I can't wait to see how fast we can mow the grass around our shop. I'm sure it will have the neighbors jealous,” Casebolt added.
In 2006 Casebolt was named Rookie of the Year in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. And last year he backed that up with a solid third-place finish in the overall points battle. At times the personable Richmond, Ind., driver sat atop the standings as he picked up two wins with the series.
The team’s ultra successful season was highlighted with a win on the sport’s biggest stage. Last June Casebolt drove the Beitler Enterprises team to victory lane at Eldora Speedway, capturing the 13th Annual Dream. The event known for its $100,000 top prize that draws the best drivers in the sport. Other highlights of the season included wins at the Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway in Kentucky, the Winchester 200 at Winchester Speedway in Virginia, the Creno’s 50 at Muskingum Co. Speedway in Ohio and an American Late Model Series win at Gas City (Ind.) Speedway.
