Indiana Landscaping Company, L & L Landscaping, wins “Landscaper’s Dream Package”

Schubert will receive a prize package of landscaping equipment and supplies worth more than $21,000 during Total Landscape Care’s Landscaper’s Dream Package Winner Event on Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. The event will be hosted by Bull Dog Power Equipment of Monrovia, Ind. (3008 West Glacier Drive, Monrovia, Ind., 46157, (317) 996-2770), the local Dixie Chopper dealer in Schubert’s area.

The package will include a Dixie Chopper riding mower ($7,350), a PBI Gordon certificate redeemable for turf and ornamental lawn care products ($3,500), an assortment of Husqvarna outdoor power equipment including a backpack blower, trimmer, edger, chain saw, pole saw and other supplies, ($3,200), AlturnaMats ground protection mats ($3,000), a package of Corona professional landscaping tools ($2,000), PRO Landscape Design Software Version 18 from Drafix Software ($1,395) and a Magna-Matic lawn mower blade sharpening system ($1,100).

“I just feel very fortunate,” Schubert says. “I know there are a lot of worthy people out there but for some reason, I was selected and who knows the answer to that.”

Schubert started his business in 1977 in Mooresville, Ind., and quickly formed a maintenance-heavy business focusing on mowing, trimming and mulching. Schubert says he hopes the Dream Package will help expand the business. Schubert entered to win the Dream Package on the Total Landscape Care website after reading about it in Total Landscape Care magazine.

Launched in 2006, the Total Landscape Care Landscaper’s Dream Package sweepstakes is the only program of its kind that enables sponsors to promote their products with a unique method that complements traditional advertising. Total Landscape Care promotes the program extensively with print, online, direct mail and email advertising. The entire package also is displayed annually at the GIE+EXPO trade show for professional landscapers. For the past six years, a lucky landscaper like Lawrence Schubert has won a package of top-of-the line landscaping equipment and supplies that help grow their business.

“We are very grateful to our Dream Package sponsors who make this exciting program possible,” says Jeff Cull of Total Landscape Care. “The promotional value is good for our advertisers, and the sweepstakes is fun for our subscribers.”

About Dixie Chopper

Working in his barn near Greencastle, Indiana, Art Evans knew there had to be a better way, and in the year 1980 the first Dixie Chopper was born. Little did anyone know that he would lead the way to revolutionizing the entire lawn and garden industry by providing the first zero-turn lawn mowers built specifically for commercial mowing contractors.

Today Dixie Chopper continues to lead the industry in innovation and quality. Still family owned and operated, Evans remains active as the company’s Chairman, but you won’t find him sitting at a desk at Dixie Chopper headquarters (which is still located on the original property). He spends his days in the company’s Research and Development department where he continues to provide ideas and inspiration to the Dixie Chopper engineering staff and manufacturing team.

Known as “the World’s Fastest Lawn Mower,” Dixie Chopper mowers are about much more than being fast. The company prides itself on providing quality and reliability in addition to speed. “It’s not enough to just be fast,” Evans states. “We need to be the best. We want to produce a mower that has many years of useable life left after it is paid for.”
